Oh hello! We're Death by Indie, an art rock band from Wilmington, Delaware. We play songs about jazzy dogs, the snallygaster, trees, sexy hummus, broken bongs,and oh so many more tantalizing topics. Isa rips the bass and also guitar, Declan’s duties include guitar, bass, shaker, kazoo, vocals, and Mike drummeth.

 

Our live sound ranges from energetic punk rippers to indie ballads to power pop sing-alongs. We’ve been compared to bands such as sonic youth (nah), pavement (sick but nah), the pixies (oh hell yeah), and spacehog (???), while these are all honorable mentions, expect to experience something that could be considered a “unique find” at the bottom of a cassette bin.

 

So far we’ve released 4 EP’s since forming in 2020- and one LP “Paeonia” in 2022 with the three-piece lineup. The current live set consists of mostly new songs set to be recorded (and hopefully released) late 2023. We’ve played about 30 shows in the last two years across five states and I promise we’ll play one near you soon! Oh, and Jake says hi :) - DBI
